A bachelorette party is far smaller than a wedding, and that is exactly what makes its details visible. At twenty to forty guests, nothing passes unnoticed.
The venue decides everything
These are usually held in a home, a majlis or a hotel suite rather than a hall. Space is limited, so choose one standout element: a good photo backdrop, a well-arranged dessert table, or distinctive seating — not all three.
A space that looks generous empty becomes tight once seating and tables are in. Measure before ordering, and allow at least a square metre per guest for comfortable seating.
The backdrop is the main investment
Most photographs are taken at one point. A clean backdrop 2.5 metres wide holds three to four guests per frame, which is the practical size.
For daytime parties, place it on a wall away from direct windows — backlight turns faces into silhouettes.
Lighting indoors
Ordinary household lighting is yellow and uneven, the worst thing to photograph under. Add one even source aimed at the photo area; one correct point beats coloured light spread around.
Coloured lighting looks good on video but ruins skin tones in stills. Use it at the edges, not on faces.
The dessert table
At a small event the table is seen close up. Arrangement and colour matter more than the number of items. Three different heights on the table give more depth in a photograph than more varieties would.
Allow four to five small pieces per guest and two cold drinks per person in warm weather.
Timing
Three hours is the right length: an hour of arrival and photographs, an hour of an activity, an hour of hospitality and goodbyes. Longer, in a small space, loses its energy.
Privacy
For a women-only party, agree in advance who enters and when: the setup team finishes before guests arrive, photography is female, and hospitality service is arranged on the same basis.
