Wedding Season in the UAE: When to Book and Why

Timing in the UAE is not an administrative detail. The month you choose decides the weather, venue availability, and the price of almost every line item.
The busy season
October to April is the real wedding season. The weather allows outdoor events, halls are booked months ahead, and suppliers run at full capacity on weekends.
In practice, good dates in these months are taken three to six months ahead — more if the date falls on a holiday weekend.
The quiet season
May to September sees far fewer outdoor events because of heat and humidity; events move indoors to halls and majlis settings.
This is when choice is widest and delivery calmest: dates available, teams unhurried, and more time to prepare and adjust. If your event is indoors anyway, summer is not a disadvantage.
Ramadan and Eid
Weddings largely pause during Ramadan and return densely straight after Eid. The two weeks following Eid are among the busiest of the year, and a date there needs particularly early booking.
Ramadan brings ghabga and group iftar events instead — a different setup: seating, soft lighting, and hospitality stretched over hours.
What gets booked first
The order we recommend: venue first, then setup and decor, then photography, then the programme — zaffa and bands. The venue is the least flexible element and everything else is built on its date and dimensions.
Do not book decor before you know the stage dimensions and ceiling height. A design agreed before the venue is known usually gets redrawn.
How far ahead
Busy season: venue six months, setup three, photography three, programme two.
Quiet season: roughly half of that, without much risk.
A date still open a month out in busy season usually does not mean it is available — it means whoever remains available for it has fewer options.
