Tables and chairs across Al Dhafra

The Al Dhafra neighbourhoods we set up in, and what we plan for in each:

• Madinat Zayed — The seat of the Al Dhafra region and its largest cluster of homes and halls. It is about two hours from Abu Dhabi, so for large events we load and travel the day before.
• Ruwais — An industrial and residential town on the western coast whose housing compounds have entry rules, so we send vehicle and crew details in advance.
• Liwa — An oasis on the edge of the Empty Quarter, among dunes and farms; events here are often at farms and estates and need independent generators and special anchoring for tents on sand.
• Ghayathi — A residential town between Madinat Zayed and Ruwais, whose homes have wide courtyards with room for a marquee and full hospitality.
• Al Mirfa — A coastal town on the road between Abu Dhabi and Ruwais, where we allow for the sea wind when anchoring tents and lighting.
• Sila — The far west of the UAE near the Saudi border; the long distance means we bring the complete setup with us and plan the trip a day ahead.
• Delma — An offshore island reached by ferry, so we plan shipping and the size of each piece in advance around the ferry times.
• Sir Bani Yas — A nature-reserve island with resorts; events here are held inside the resorts on their schedules, with the setup carried over by ferry.
