Ramadan tent setup in Abu Dhabi
Ramadan tent setup in Abu Dhabi: a tent for iftar, ghabga or a Ramadan majlis, sized to the ground and the number of guests, with Arabic seating or tables and Ramadan lighting and decoration as you choose.
What the service is
Putting up a Ramadan tent and fitting it out: flooring, Arabic or floor seating or tables and chairs, lighting and decoration — for family iftars, company iftars and Ramadan majlis, for one night, some days or the whole month.
Who it suits
For families hosting iftar or ghabga at home, companies and organisations holding iftar for staff or guests, and anyone running a Ramadan majlis through the month.
What we can arrange
- A tent sized to the ground and the number
- Flooring and carpets
- Arabic or floor seating, or tables and chairs
- Interior and entrance lighting
- Ramadan decoration and lanterns
- Cooling or ventilation as the site needs
- A hospitality corner
Pieces, sizes, quantities, timing and price are set in the quotation according to the site and the number of people.
What we need to send a quotation
- Plot location and size, or a photo
- Number of guests per day
- Duration: one night, some days or the whole month
- Preferred seating
- Whether power is available nearby
- Whether a delivery vehicle can reach the site, or there is a narrow gate or path
What shapes the setup
- Duration
- A one-night tent and a tent standing all month differ in how they are anchored and looked after.
- Ground and space
- Sand or paving, and the area, set the tent size and aisles.
- Access to the site
- The route for the delivery vehicle and the width of the gate or path decide how the pieces are carried in and the order of setup, so a photo of the entrance helps.
- Cooling and air-conditioning
- The number of cooling and air-conditioning units is set by the tent area and the number of people, and stated in the quotation.
- Numbers and seating
- Floor seating fits a different number in the same space than tables, so we propose the layout once we know the number.
- Setup time
- The tent goes up an agreed time before the first day and comes down after the last.
- Weather
- In the coming years Ramadan falls in the winter months, so evenings are usually mild, with a chance of wind or rain that we allow for in anchoring tents and their sides.
Working in Abu Dhabi
Our base is in Al Yarmook, Sharjah, and we serve Abu Dhabi; we confirm the arrival time when you call, according to the site. If the tent stands on public land or outside the property line, or meals will be handed out to the public, the requirements are checked with the site management and the competent authority before confirmation.
Maghrib in Abu Dhabi comes about four minutes after Dubai. We use the city’s official timetable to set the ready-by time.
In the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the TAMM platform lists two Department of Municipalities and Transport services: a permit to install a Ramadan tent (temporary iftar tents installed by companies) and a permit for a temporary Ramadan tent outside residential plot boundaries, applied for by the installing contractor with its trade licence. Who applies is agreed before confirmation; this does not mean a permit has been issued to us.

Ramadan tent setup across Abu Dhabi
The Abu Dhabi neighbourhoods we set up in, and what we plan for in each:
- Al Mushrif — Villas and family majlis inside the city; most requests are a kosha and hospitality inside the majlis.
- Al Khalidiyah — A central district of apartments and hotel halls; setup here follows the venue's schedule and entry permits.
- Al Bahia — Villas with outdoor courtyards on the edge of the city, allowing tents and suspended lighting.
- Mohammed Bin Zayed City — Numbered residential compounds, so we ask for the plot number in advance because the inner streets look alike.
- Al Shamkha — Modern villas with large back yards, suited to marquees and large koshas.
- Al Rahba — On the northern Dubai road, so it is quicker for our vehicles to reach than central Abu Dhabi.
- Baniyas — A large family district; the most common requests are melcha and henna with hospitality and coffee servers.
- Khalifa City — Villas with front and back courtyards, where we set up outdoor lighting and medium sound systems.
- Al Reef — A gated residential community with set entry rules, so we send the vehicle details before the event day.
- Al Mafraq — An outlying district with open spaces that allow large tents and independent generators.
- Al Reem Island — Modern residential towers on the waterfront; events here are usually inside the towers or their malls, with goods lifts of fixed size.
- Yas Island — A major hotel and entertainment district in Abu Dhabi; most events here are in the big hotel ballrooms on strict coordination schedules.
- Saadiyat Island — Upscale hotels and villas near the cultural museums, suited to luxury occasions with large outdoor spaces.
- Al Raha Beach — Residential towers and villas on the waterfront, close to the main road between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Yes; tables or floor seating are chosen by the number and the kind of iftar.
Does the tent need approval?
If it stands on public land or outside the property line, requirements are checked with the site management and the competent authority before confirmation. Where we have read an official Ramadan-tent service for an emirate, its city pages name it.
